ROOT 49 RECORDS RELEASES BRIDGETTE TATUM SINGLE, “THAT’S LOVE Y’ALL”
The song can be found on Tatum’s upcoming release, Sex. Church & Chicken, and is available now for download on iTunes, Amazon.com and all digital retailers. Tatum was recently named among Roughstock.com and Country Weekly’s “Ones to Watch: The Class of 2010” and earned the honor of “Most Played Country Song of 2009” (MediaBase) as co-writer of Jason Aldean’s mega-hit, “She’s Country.”
"That's Love Y'all" is written by Tatum and frequent co-writer Kirsti Manna. Tatum concedes, “Well to be honest, I got engaged (felt euphoric), got married (wondered what the heck I did) and got divorced (relieved) all in one year. This song was born out of that euphoric feeling I spoke of earlier. I reflected over the years in my life and over past relationships wondering how I ever got to the point of marriage. I made a promise to myself as a little girl that I’d be driving a two-seater convertible with my guitar in the passenger side and playing music in Nashville, TN for a living. However, years later there I was getting married. Sometimes people have to move on and grow, but the song will always be special to me and I hope it provides encouragement for all the “love mustangs.” Love will find you. It can run faster.”
Tatum’s unique vocals and determined personality have lit a compassionate match with her peers and fans, as well as radio. “Sassy, witty, so much love from her voice; Bonnie Raitt move over!” states KLOA’s BC Corbin, while Music Row magazine’s Bob Oermann calls it “bluesy, with a throaty vocal and sympathetic guitar work." KSMA’s J. Brooks says, “['That’s Love Y’all' is ] a true heart felt song that is relatable to both men and women."
Bridgette Tatum and producer Danny Myrick recorded Tatum’s debut album, Sex. Church & Chicken, at The Studio at The Palms in Las Vegas, christening the studio as the first country act to ever record there. The 11 tracks reflect Tatum’s many personalities, effortlessly transitioning from defiant, amped-up rockers to tender, intimate ballads to straight-shooting social commentaries. Sex. Church & Chicken will be released by Root 49 Records in 2010.
