Nancy & Sluggo 'Gone Country' with Bridgette!
Singer/songwriter Bridgette Tatum will be the subject of a new "Nancy"® comic strip on Tuesday, August 11. Artist Guy Gilchrist met Bridgette through a mutual friend and fellow songwriter, Kirsti Manna. The strip can be viewed in over 350 U.S. newspapers and on www.comics.comtomorrow. "Nancy"® runs in approximately 80 countries and has over 70 million readers.
"Bridgette is so infectious and just takes over a room with her personality," says Gilchrist. "She reminds me of Nancy - loud, rambunctious and full of that independent spirit. Nancy is an individual and so is Bridgette. I believe in her and her music. The idea for the strip was an extension of that."
The storyline in the August 11 strip involves Tatum's #1 co-write for Jason Aldean, "She's Country." Gilchrist has featured other country artists in "Nancy"® including Charlie Daniels, Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney, Big & Rich and Miranda Lambert, among others.
Bridgette Tatum is preparing for the upcoming release of her debut album and currently on tour supporting her first single, "I Like My Cowboys Dirty." To hear this single and more, visitwww.bridgettetatum.com.
