SONGWRITERS BRIDGETTE TATUM & DANNY MYRICK CELEBRATE SUCCESS OF “SHE’S COUNTRY”
Songwriters Bridgette Tatum and Danny Myrick of Root 49 Music are
celebrating the record breaking success of Jason Aldean’s new album,
Wide Open. The two co-wrote the lead single, “She’s Country,” which
helped the album sell over 108,000 units its first week landing Wide
Open at the #2 spot on Billboard’s Country Albums Chart and the #4
position on the all-genre Billboard Top 200 chart.
Aldean
debuted “She’s Country” on the 42nd Annual CMA Awards in November 2008
and the song quickly caught fire connecting with country music fans
everywhere. It became the fastest rising single of Aldean’s career and
is currently a Top Five radio hit, a first for the co-writing team of
Tatum and Myrick. Last week, “She’s Country” landed in the #1 spot on
iTunes all-genre ringtone chart.
“I’m an extremist,” says
Tatum, a South Carolina native. “I make music that I want to hear. If
it’s a ballad, you’re going to hurt. If it’s a rockin’ tune, you are
going to rock and roll till your pants fall off.”
Tatum joins
Aldean in concert at the Speed Street 600 Festival in Charlotte, North
Carolina, on May 21. At the end of this month, Tatum and Myrick take
the stage at the Key West Songwriters’ Festival, April 29 – May 3.
Big Machine recording duo Kate and Kacey plan to release a Myrick
penned single, “Dreaming Love” on April 27. Bridgette Tatum is working
on a new album which features six songs co-written with Myrick
including the likely lead single, “Hillbilly Rockstar.”
Bridgette Tatum and Danny Myrick are part of Root 49 Music, based in Nashville, TN.
